May I suggest we practice the RR3 start as it is a little complicated, no need to do the whole route, perhaps back to suitable cafe which sell real coffee not brown water. I will be away for the actual event so I will be unavailable as a guide. So check out Andy’s guide, get familiar with the route and where the clocks are, not that you would look. Ben will probably be back and needing to make up for not having any sweeties for a few weeks?

I think stop at Broomwagon. Then anyone feeling spritely can come with me onto Llantwit. I might carry on to Cowbridge and back as well. I have miles to make up and sweeties to burn off.

Will some nice person work out the mileage from Physiques to the Broom Handle by the RR3 route ta

Approx 27 -28 miles Ron

Anyone out tomorrow in the cold, wrap up, shorts, thermals and bib tights.
-
I am out. I've spent all day getting my bike clean and working properly.

And the sweets?
-
Too many sweets have been consumed. Flapjack for tomorrow.

I won’t be out tomorrow (sore hamstring), may try gentle ride later in the day .
Have a good one.

5 of us today Ron, Ade, Lee, Hannah and myself. Rather cold and windy so the route was changed as Hannah had sore legs from yesterday so we went out into the wind. So the route was Pencoed, Brynna, Pontyclun, Miskin then up round to Clwdach Coch avoiding the ice in the shade. Quick comfort break for me then caught the rest by the turn off towards Welsh St Donats. We joined the Tuesday route at this point and went through Llantrithyd but instead of going up through Flemingston and St Athan we carried on to Llanmaes from there. Coffee stop at Cafe Velo for Ade, Hannah and me. Lee and Ron carried on home as they had prior engagements. After warming up and getting some food we went off along the coast road. I turned off by the plough and harrow to Wick and went home in a roundabout way as I had to be back by 12ish. Was a good ride but very cold good performances from everyone. Good conversation as always as well. Hopefully it'll be warmer next week.

Cold as predicted Lee turned up in below the knee tights, lesson learned. Too cold for me to stop. Next weeks weather looks awful colder and possible snow!
