Title: Amblers ride SUnday 24th September
Post by: Ben on September 21, 2017, 10:28:46 AM: Weather looking ok for Sunday. I was thinking maybe the Bryn from Maesteg side. There's a choice of riding up from Fountains lane which would be

or the usual route to go up from Port Talbot.

Post by: Ben on September 24, 2017, 04:30:31 PM: 7 of us took on the Amblers ride for this week. I met up with PaulE and Roy in Llantwit. We then went off to tackle the Bryn with Adrian, Ben, new rider Tracey and Graham. We took the option of riding up past Parc Slip and up the steep and nasty hill to Llangynwyd. Then over to Maesteg. A quick blast up over the Bryn and back down to Port Talbot. There was a small Brown trouser moment at the traffic lights near Cwmafan where they sneak up on you. Very cheeky that set of lights. Back through Port Talbot and Margam. We then went back to Parc Slip past Wigglies. Where we had a lovely stop and then it was disturbed by the Chasers ;D Great ride. Especially from Tracey on her 2nd ride but the first proper ride with us. Just over 55miles for Paul, Roy and myself. Looking forward to the Hill climb next week.
