Title: Sunday morning ride
Post by: Richard Smith on January 22, 2014, 10:13:48 PM
Hi,

Can you please advise on your ride out on Sunday? New to the forum and the group. Looking at joining up with some other cyclists, been riding solo for about 12 months, average about 25 miles 15 mph, looking at getting the legs going further and more challenging rides.

Any help or advise appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

Richard

Routes are normally posted on the forum on a Friday or Saturday.
The Pacers route is normally around 50-60 miles.
Amblers route is about 30-40 miles and at an easier pace, with nobody being left behind. If your doing rides @ 15mph should be ok in the group, you'll find  the extra miles are easier when riding in a group!
Both rides start from the car park Physiques gym in Brackla

Both rides start at 9.30.

I set the route for the Pacers and Paul Longthorn, who is club captain, organizing the Amblers.
As you suggested just turn up and introduce yourself.

Looks like wet weather gear needed this Sunday (again)  :(

Amblers does tend to be more 40 to 50 than 30 to 40. But I assume it will be closer to 40 this Sunday given the forecast. Paul normally posts the route but I'm not sure if he is around this Sunday? So the route will probably be decided by the more senior members of the group on the morning.
