I mentioned in my report on today's Mid-Week ride that Mike had what seemed to be an innocuous fall near Llangan school. He texted me to say he had got home ok but has just let me know that he fractured his hip and is awaiting surgery-he will update me and I'll post here.
I think we all know what a hard man Mike is. When I broke my hip I needed an air-ambulance. Even gritty Northerner Tim had to ring his wife but Mike got back on his bike and rode home! Hope he makes a swift recovery.

Just been to see mike he had op on his hip at 3.30 and he's in good spirits on painkillers but thinks he'll be out tomorrow but I'm not so sure .

Mike was discharged yesterday afternoon and is back at home. Knowing Mike probably be out on Sunday
