Keith is looking for people to help out with piloting the tandem. Whilst Steven and myself, along with one or two others, get out as often as we can, Keith REALLY needs more club members to help out.
Next Wednesday we'll be taking the tandem down to the Bridgend industrial estate so anybody who is interested but nervous about or unsure of what to expect when riding the tandem, can practice whilst there is somebody around to lend a hand.
I'll bring along pedals to fit Shimano SPD and SPD sl as well as Look Keos, this should cover most people's shoes. All you need to do is come along ready to ride, in kit with your normal cycling shoes. If you ride over there'll be someone to look after you bike!
Riding the tandem is as good a workout as riding solo, if not better and Keith is very adaptable to the various pilots he rides with and very appreciative of you giving him time.
So please come along on Wednesday and have a go and get out when you have some spare time.

Good ride today and for all those who want to do a little strength training, then the tandem is a good way of doing it. We done Devils Elbow today, okay may not be the quickest of rides but we got up there, so well done to Keith. I can think of a few riders who would of climbed off the bike rather than suffer like he did. So who's next to try and beat my time or take on another mountain??????????
