Title: Buying Tubs
Post by: ron b on May 08, 2016, 06:51:11 PM
My front tub puncture in yesterdays 10, a pothole on the way out resulting in a slow deflation and a walk from the finish. Picked up by CJ who took me back to mission control. So have to buy a new one, any ideas?

The new graphene range by Vittoria look good for race days;

Vittoria or Continentals. Buy them and mature them for a year! Carry a tub inflators. That will still not help you if you cut the sidewall like I did in the Carl Roach

The road  was awful with lots of potholes, there were two holes near each other on the way out and they probably did the damage. I drove to HQ along the course and noticed the bad surface, I will stick to normal road wheels if I can be bothered to ride this course again and cars parked on both sides of the road in the villages is not my idea of safe. Oh and new Conti in the post, old Tufo has done 5 years so can't complain.
