Moved up a tooth on my chainring this week from 49 to 50. Running 50/15 was a bit of a wake up call for the legs! Even though on paper it seems like an incremental change it made quite a difference in acceleration and braking as the bigger gear likes to keep your legs turning. Took a couple of laps on the warm up to get used to it, I could tell this week was going to be a struggle but I should adapt in a couple of weeks.
Slightly slower on the 500m this week 34.8. Hammered it around for the 64 lap TT but only got 21.51 which is OK, I didn't do too many laps on the front but pushed quite hard. I found myself in a difficult position in the group leading the 2 fastest riders, so when I came off the front it was a real struggle to get back on as I was getting them up to speed and they just continued to hammer it! Couple of times I was in the red getting back on which was a good laugh. I usually get overtaken in the sprint to the line but recently I've been winding it up on the last lap to try and avoid this. Had another go this week but the lap numbers went a bit wonky, as I passed it it read 1 to go but it was still 2 so I ramped it up for nothing. Next time!
Stacking to finish off which was a blast from the past and quite fun to do after so long, and not nearly as intimidating as it used to be so I must be making some progress.

I used to love riding the track leagues - the purest form of racing....
