Weather looks okay compared to last week. Mumbles and back over Cimla?

I was going to suggest go east / north east first and then home given the wind direction? e.g. Newport / Machen or Mark Rosser winter route clockwise or similar.

The wind is supposed to drop, if we get a guest appearance from you, then you can choose!

If you always plan rides to have a tailwind home then you might not be mentally prepared for TTs where return leg is into the wind.

Today's 'Magnificent Seven' were;

Haydn, Mark, Chris G, Allan, Dave W, Paul and me.  Off via Port Talbot (new road) Baglan, Resolven, Aberdare ( Coffee stop with a Macciato for Allan), Abercynon, Ponty and then a burn up to finish.  71miles at 18.4mph.

Not hanging around...

Today's 'Magnificent Seven'

Not hanging around...

...just some hanging on. Great ride today - a badly needed workout for me had me teetering on the edge for a few sections. Coffee break essential - delighted to have helped extend the barista's repertoire as well. With his hipster beard it would have been more expected for Mark to have requested an exotic coffee.

Strong riding all round today - Paul's looking proper race-fit.
