Title: Track Bike Requirements

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the requirements a bicycle must meet to be used at the Newport Velodrome?

Next year I would certainly consider giving this a try, perhaps with a bike rental and then go from there if I should enjoy and get on with it.

I have a track bike for road use so I'm thinking I could use this if I swap out a few components and change the gearing if I can keep the cost down.

Any info appreciated.

Bike hire is quite reasonable @ £7 a session.

Poss. hire 1st time and check with coach/track staff whether your bike is suitable.

Tim is planning a track visit over autumn/winter, keep an eye out for dates
