Stumbled across this. Seen it before but some of you might not have. Shoe covers look like a no brainer, especially as you can get them for a lot less than assumed in the article.

I also recall the discussion we had with that guy at the last tt. He had spent £4-500 on a session at the velodrome to optimise his position and claimed with 260 watts was now doing a 21. We had an interesting debate and he made a good point that most people would spend more than that on a disc wheel.

Indeed Chris, but then I caught up with him again last Saturday at the 10. He had been spending so much time and therefore presumably money on his position coaching at Newport, that he said he was worn out.
I can't believe shoe covers make so much difference!

Just highlighting this article, one of many available for those wishing to enter the dark world of Time Trials in 2016. Many riders just turn up on a common or garden road bike, there are also TT's for such bikes during the season.
