Title: The alternative club ride
Post by: christie on October 13, 2013, 06:41:15 PM
Conditions were soft on the fire roads, rough and slippery on the single track stuff. Good ride but glad to get home. It is'nt often I take the garmin on the MTB but here's a nice route if anyone fancies a day on the dark side. After all, it doesn't matter what bike you ride, mtb, tandem or road, it's still miles in the bank and as I keep saying, they can all compliment each other.

wow that looks a good ride Keith, 40+ miles on the mountain bike :o love to give that a try one week! i think a few of us with mountain bikes should do a mountain bike club ride soon. as you say its all miles in the bank and would make a nice change, and should be fun.

I'd always be up for MTB but don't think there will ever be enough interest?
Over the next couple of months I'll ride with the Garmin and posts the routes. That way if people want to use the routes they can. (Providing they can copy the route somehow)?
By the way last weeks route was technical in places and perhaps not suitable for everyone.
