Title: Entering Time Trials
Post by: ron b on June 24, 2015, 04:07:06 PM
There are a few local TT's coming up which are ideal for those ne members who have done the Club events on a Thursday and are looking to take part in an "Open" event. You have to enter these events in advance, by mail or computer entry. You can check the dates of events and the courses used on the South wales web site. You do not need a qualifying time, or an Aero bike, many take part on their club bikes and you will just get "seeded" like everyone else. These are very low key friendly affairs and a good starting point. Tuesday July 14th at 1830 is the Port Talbot Wls 10 mile event at Resolven which is part of the Celtic series. Nice easy course on the Vale of Neath dual carriageway. Sunday August 16th 0800 Raglan is the Welsh Championship 10 mile, same rules as above but on the Raglan dual carriageway, lots of other events on the calendar before and after these TT's. If you need any info just ask.

The 16th of July event at Raglan R10/17 is a really nice one to start with; there is a non aero section i.e. no tt bikes. Flat straight excellent road surface and good cake selection afterwards.
